Breaking News: Shivraj Singh Chouhan Visits Flood-Hit Tribal Village, Assures Relief | ABP NEWS
On Saturday, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Khivni Khurd village in his parliamentary constituency amid heavy rainfall. Walking through muddy roads, he inspected the flood-affected tribal households and assessed the damage caused by the rains. Chouhan assured residents of full compensation for their losses. He also held a chaupal (open meeting) in a farm field to discuss the villagers' problems and later shared a meal with them. The visit comes after the Forest Department demolished structures on June 23, citing encroachment, sparking protests on June 27 and 29 in Khate village. Chouhan met with affected locals, conveyed the government's commitment to tribal welfare, and promised justice. He also criticized certain officials for their misconduct, emphasizing the government's sensitivity and intention to resolve the issue.
