Yashasvi Jaiswal won the heart of Ravi, a visually impaired child and his big fan of Team India by not only meeting him at Edgbaston but also gifting him a signed bat.

The BCCI shared a video of the conversation between the two. "Hello Ravi, how are you? I am Yashasvi, nice to meet you. I was really excited to meet you because I know that you have been a big fan of cricket and actually I don't know why I am nervous to meet you."

He then handed over the bat and added,"I have a gift for you... my bat. I would like you to keep it just as my memory. It's amazing to see you and meet you, very lovely to be here with you."

Ravi responded with heartfelt words, "Lovely to meet you too. Thanks so much! I can't wait to have your bat because you are a brilliant cricketer. I think you are the future of Indian cricket. I love cricket, I love watching you bat. I loved your centuries, they were brilliant. On your day you can score big centuries."

He also added, "It's so nice to meet him. He gave me a bat. I love watching him play and I always follow him. I will always support him."

Jaiswal's Test journey with Team India

Jaiswal has become one of India's most promising young stars in Test cricket. Since making his debut with a stunning 171 against the West Indies in Roseau in 2023, the 23-year-old has continued to impress with his consistency and flair. With 2,018 runs at an average of 53.10, including five centuries, Jaiswal has carved a special place in the hearts of Indian cricket fans.

During the ongoing Test series against England, Jaiswal has once again delivered, registering a century at Leeds and an 87-run knock at Edgbaston.
