IMD Rainfall Alert: There is a rain alert in North India for the next seven days. Apart from this, heavy rains are also expected in the states of Central India and Eastern India.

IMD Rainfall Alert: Heavy rains are occurring across the country these days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue over North-West, Central and Northeast India including UP during the next 7 days, over East India till 07 July. Extremely heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh on 05 July and Himachal Pradesh on 06 July and over Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra on 06 and 07 July.

Talking about eastern and central India, there will be heavy to very heavy rains from July 5 to 11. Apart from this, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh will receive very heavy rains on July 5-8, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim on July 5, 8-10, Andaman and Nicobar Islands on July 6. At the same time, Chhattisgarh will receive heavy rains on July 5-7, Vidarbha on July 7 and 8, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha on July 5, 6.

Talking about Northwest India, heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan on July 5-11, East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan on July 5, 6, 10 and 11, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh during July 5-9. Apart from this, very heavy rains are expected over Himachal Pradesh on July 7 and 8, Uttarakhand on July 5-7, Punjab, Haryana on July 6 and 7, East Rajasthan on July 5, 9 and 10.

Talking about West India, heavy to very heavy rains are expected at isolated places over Konkan, Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch during July 5 to 7 during the next seven days. Apart from this, there will be heavy rains in Marathwada on July 6 and 7. Talking about Northeast India, light to moderate rains and thunderstorms with lightning are likely at most places during the next seven days. Very heavy rains may occur in Meghalaya on July 5.
