Nashik VIDEO: 11 Youths Rescued From Dugarwadi Waterfall In Trimbakeshwar

Due to increased rainfall at the Dugarwadi Waterfall in Trimbakeshwar taluka, the water level rose suddenly, trapping 11 youths from Nashik on the other side of the river. They were safely rescued by the Forest Department staff with the help of local villagers. All 11 youths are safe, and no one was injured in the incident.

On Sunday, tourist spots in Trimbakeshwar were bustling. A group of 11 youths from Nashik had come to enjoy at the Dugarwadi Waterfall. There had been continuous rain in the area since morning. Around 11am, the rainfall intensified, causing the water level to rise rapidly and the river to flood.

At this time, the 11 youths who had crossed to the other side of the river got stranded and called for help. Forest Guard Kailas Mahale, who was posted in the area, recognised the seriousness of the situation and called nearby villagers for assistance. Employees of the Forest Department, along with personnel from the Trimbak Police Station, also reached the spot.

Forest Range Officer Shekhar Deokar, Forest Guards Madhukar Chavan and Arun Nimbekar were present at the scene and began rescue efforts with the help of local villagers. The youths were brought to safety on the opposite bank of the river by securing ropes and assisting them across.

There have been previous incidents of youths getting trapped at Dugarwadi Waterfall. Often, overly enthusiastic individuals take unnecessary risks, which puts pressure on the emergency response system.
