Aamir Khan names Vishnu Vishal-Jwala Gutta newborn in 'magical' moment at intimate ceremony
Bollywood icon and beloved hit-maker Aamir Khan is once again making headlines, not for his movies this time, but for a heartwarming reason.
The 'Taare Zameen Par' star was recently spotted in Hyderabad at the intimate naming ceremony of Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal and ace badminton player Jwala Gutta’s newborn daughter. The Bollywood thespian not only attended the ceremony, but was also given the honour of naming the baby.
He named the infant Mira.
The private ceremony, held in the presence of close family and friends, saw touching tributes for Aamir from the couple.
Taking to social media, Vishnu expressed his gratitude and a “big hug to Aamir Khan ... for coming all the way to Hyderabad to name our baby”.
“MIRA represents unconditional love and peace,” he added, declaring that their journey with the Bollywood legend had been “a magical one”. He added a picture of the couple and their children with Aamir holding the newborn in his arms.
The Arjuna awardee also shared a heartfelt message: “This journey would have been impossible without you, Aamir.”
Both parents thanked Aamir for choosing what they felt was a meaningful and thoughtful name for their daughter.
The trio share a long-standing bond. Aamir has previously celebrated Diwali with the couple at their home and had also personally invited them to his daughter Ira Khan’s wedding, which was an intimate affair. Their friendship was further on display during Cyclone Michaung, when Aamir was seen accompanying them in Chennai when their home faced flooding.
Although Jwala has officially stepped away from competitive badminton to focus on running her academy and her family, both Vishnu and Aamir continue to be active in the film world.
Vishnu has several Tamil projects lined up, while Aamir is gearing up for his Tamil debut, as well as a cameo in 'Coolie',which is directed by Lokesh “Loki” Kanagaraj and stars superstar Rajinikanth. Aamir is also slated to begin shooting for Loki’s much-anticipated untitled superhero project next year.
