Health Minister Arti Singh Rao hears public grievances
Haryana’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, Arti Singh Rao, organised a public hearing at her official residence in Chandigarh today. On the occasion, hundreds of people from various districts of the state presented their problems and demands to the health minister.
Rao listened to each complainant and directed departments concerned to take immediate action to provide resolution.
Most complaints raised during the public hearing pertained to health services, including shortage of doctors, inadequate medicine supply and lack of personal medical assistance. The minister redressed many complaints on the spot and gave clear instructions to officials concerned that no officer or employee should be negligent in work of the public interest.
The minister said, “Listening to the people’s problems and resolving them quickly is the priority of our government.” She also made it clear that strict action would be taken against those officers or employees who obstruct implementation of the public welfare schemes.
After the public hearing of grievances, the minister also held a review meeting with senior officials of the Health Department.
