Dedicate your work to the Almighty: Edu Minister to future administrative officers
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda has called on the youth selected for administrative services to dedicate their work to the Almighty, and move forward with sincerity. The minister was addressing candidates selected for administrative services, and their parents, as the chief guest at the Pratibha Samman and Protsahan programme, organised by the Rohtak Jat Sabha here on Monday.
Among those honoured during the event were Swati Phogat, Anju Joon, Simran, Saurabh Badhwar, Gaurav Saharan, Himanshu Chahal, Jitendra Kumar, Sachin Panwar, Ekansh, Apoorv Kumar, Himanshu Kadyan, Vikas Kundu, Indubala Dhankhar, and Shubham — all of whom have cleared the UPSC exams.
They were presented with mementos, certificates of appreciation, and a cash reward of Rs 11,000 each.
Dhanda urged parents not to let a spirit of competition develop in their children. He said this could become an obstacle to personal growth.
He added that if a child made mistakes unknowingly, parents should not discourage them. Instead, they should help heal the wounds of those mistakes, so the child feels encouraged to move forward again.
At the event, BJP national secretary and former minister Om Prakash Dhankar said children were our greatest assets. He called on parents to provide a positive environment for their children.
He said parents should avoid the mindset of keeping their children “average”.
If a child received the right environment and focused on clearing any competitive exam, success was assured, he added.
Addressing the gathering, Dhankar said success worked within an ecosystem, and it was important to recognise and align with it.
Becoming an IAS officer was indeed a matter of pride, he said, adding that this was just the beginning of their administrative journey.
Senior BJP leader and former minister Manish Kumar Grover said the newly selected youngsters must carry with them the agenda of serving the nation and society.
He said the responsibilities entrusted with them would enable them to serve society for the next three-four decades.
