Session on inclusive early learning held
An interactive session titled ‘re-imagining early learning through inclusion’ was organised by Oswaal Books in the city. The programme was led by Maninder Kaur, a renowned psychologist and special educator with decades of experience supporting children who did not always follow conventional learning pathways. The session was attended by over 70 parents and children, all eager to explore how learning could be more inclusive and joyful.
During the session, Kaur shared practical strategies to support language development in children with learning differences by using simple, everyday routines like brushing, bathing, dressing and eating. These daily activities, she explained, could serve as meaningful entry points for language and communication when guided with intention and empathy. The event also marked the introduction of ‘Lil Legends’ newly launched inclusive book series, designed specifically to support early literacy among children with development delays, language challenges, or diverse learning needs — without making them feel labeled or left behind.
“Language lives in action. When we meet children in the context of their daily lives, we open the door to real, joyful learning,” said Maninder Kaur.
