Meta has rolled out new features for its short-form video editing app Edits, and this time, it’s not just about effects or filters—it’s about organisation.
The latest update, introduced in early July, adds smart sticky note functionality to the app’s Ideas tab, turning it into a helpful space for creators to track and manage video concepts on the go.
According to Meta, “We’ve rolled out new features on the Ideas tab in Edits, including the ability to save audio within Ideas, leave sticky notes on audios you want to create with, mark stickies as done, and filter stickies by status (e.g. ‘to-do’, done, or all) or sort by last edited, date created, or colour.”
In simple terms, if you’re working on multiple content ideas at once, you can now bookmark sounds, leave notes for future use, tick off finished ideas, and organise everything in one place.
This update builds on a series of improvements Meta has made to Edits since its launch in April 2025.
From keyframe animation and enhanced transitions to noise removal and text effects, the app is gradually becoming a more complete content creation tool.
The focus is clearly on helping creators stay organised and efficient, without needing to switch between multiple platforms.
The sticky notes may seem like a small change, but for anyone juggling trending sounds, unfinished drafts, and daily uploads, it’s a thoughtful touch that could make a big difference.
