Without any publicity, Bobby sent two trucks loaded with relief supplies, including 5,000 kg of rice, 1,800 kg of pulses, 1,500 blankets, 600 sleeping mats, and utensils worth Rs 21,000, bringing much-needed support to struggling families.

Known for his selfless service under the initiative “Almighty’s Blessings,” Bobby has spent over a decade helping the needy, from running a 24×7 free funeral van for unclaimed bodies, to organising blood donation camps, and spreading joy in orphanages and old-age homes.

In 2014, he also started Himachal’s first free canteen ‘langar’ at IGMC Shimla, providing daily tea, biscuits, and meals to poor patients and their attendants.

Political storm

A political storm had erupted over the absence of Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut from her constituency amid massive rain-triggered devastation. She had clarified that it was former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur who had advised her not to visit the region until road connectivity was restored. The people of Mandi and Seraj, which have been worst hit by cloudbursts, have criticised her for her utterances. Kangana, who visited Mandi after facing severe criticism for her absence in this hour of crisis went to some villages in the Gohar area.

“This is not the time to play politics. As an elected MP, she should have at least announced funds from her MP Fund,” said a resident of Balichowki.

Kangana said, “Those who have failed in their duties and are being criticised by the public have no right to preach me. I do not have a Cabinet, I have no disaster funds and I have limitations as an MP. I can only request the Central government for help.” She alleged that state leaders merely posed for photographs during their visits, offering only token assistance.
