MP July 8 Weather Updates: Narmada Swells Above Danger Level; Orange Alert For 8 Districts Including Narmadapuram, Balaghat
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Heavy rains continue to drench the entire Madhya Pradesh causing Narmada River to flow above the danger level and causing significant chaos in daily lives.
Capital Bhopal woke up to rains on Tuesday morning. After a brief spell of drizzle, rain picked up again in several areas.

On July 8, an Orange alert was issued in Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat. These areas may receive up to 8 inches of rain in the next 24 hours.
Also, heavy rain likely in Sehore, Raisen, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Damoh, Jabalpur, Chhatarpur, Panna, Katni, Dindori, Umaria

According to the weather department, very heavy rain is expected in Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat on Tuesday. These areas may receive up to 8 inches of rain in the next 24 hours.
Heavy rain is also expected in Sehore, Harda, Raisen, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Damoh, Jabalpur, Chhatarpur, Panna, Katni, Dindori, and Umaria. Light rain is likely to continue in Bhopal and Indore.

In Narmadapuram, the District Education Officer has declared a holiday for schools on Tuesday due to heavy rain.
In Sarni (Betul district), seven gates of the Satpura Dam have been opened to release excess water.
In Tikamgarh district, seven gates of the BanSujara Dam on the Dhasan River have also been opened.
Flooding has been reported in Kaudiya village of Narsinghpur. Residents say there’s no space left to stay inside their homes.
In Mandla, the Narmada River is flowing at 438.10 meters, above the danger mark of 437.8 meters.
On Monday night, three youths trying to cross a swollen river in Mandla were swept away. Two managed to come out safely, while one is still missing.
