The son of a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader was booked after actor and social media influencer Rajshree More filed a complaint against him for allegedly threatening and abusing her in public.

According to police, Rahil Shaikh (26), son of MNS leader Javed Shaikh, was in an inebriated condition when he issued threats at the actor, following an altercation between the two.

The squabble began after More confronted Shaikh over his SUV ramming into hers in Andheri West on Monday.

A video shared by More on her Instagram page showed a visibly drunk Shaikh sitting in the front seat of his car with his upper body bare and issuing threats and abusing her.

Shaikh was booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for outraging the modesty of a woman and other offences as well as drunken driving and other violations under the Motor Vehicles Act. He was allowed to go after being served a notice, while his car has been seized, said an officer.

Who is Rajshree More?

Rajshree More is a social media influencer and entrepreneur who runs a nail art studio in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala.

A former friend of actor Rakhi Sawant, More was recently in the news after her controversial statements on local Maharashtrians.

In a video posted on her social media page, she said that the local people should be taught to work hard instead of imposing Marathi on people from other states.

She went on to add that the condition of the local Marathi population of Mumbai would worsen if the migrants left the city.

The MNS workers filed a complaint against her, after which she deleted the video and issued an apology.

In the latest incident, More alleged that she was targeted because she had raised her voice for people from different backgrounds who came to Mumbai for jobs.

In her statement to police, she said Shaikh had told her to approach MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s house for compensation for the damage caused to her vehicle.

“When he hit my vehicle once, he could have left. Why twice? My car is well-known, people recognise it. Why was it specifically my vehicle, and why was there an MNS person inside?” she asked.
