The efforts are part of a broader plan to repair 31 dilapidated schools, following instructions from Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale.

On Monday, Additional Commissioner Ganesh Shete visited the schools in Dhamole and Belpada to assess the progress of the repair work.

The ZP School in Dhamole, which runs classes from Standard 1 to 7, was in a deteriorated condition. The school has also received a fresh coat of paint, significantly improving the learning environment for students.

In Belpada, the ZP School, which caters to students from Standard 1 to 4, is also undergoing a much-needed facelift. Renovation work includes new flooring, plastering, false ceiling installation, and fitting of protective window grilles. The classrooms have been equipped with new doors, windows, lighting, and ceiling fans, along with complete repainting of the premises.

During the visit, Additional Commissioner Shete was accompanied by retired officer Vinayak Jane, junior engineers Komal Jadhav and Snehal Lamb, and ward officer Jitendra Madhavi.

The Panvel Municipal Corporation has launched this school repair project on a priority basis, aiming to complete the remaining school renovations at the earliest. The initiative reflects the civic body's commitment to providing safe and conducive learning spaces for students across the region.
