Vij alleges corruption in key dept posts, demands raids by CM Flying Squad
Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij has written to the CM Flying Squad, seeking a thorough investigation into alleged corruption and malpractice in appointments to the posts of Chief Electrical Inspector (CEI) in the Energy Department and Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) in the Transport Department.
Speaking to mediapersons, Vij alleged that the demand for these posts is unusually high due to deep-rooted irregularities. “Ever since I took charge of these departments, I have been receiving daily recommendations for transfers to the CEI and MVI posts. Upon investigation, it was found that there is massive corruption involved,” he said.
He said he has requested the CM Flying Squad to carry out raids and inquiries into the matter to uncover the extent of malpractice.
In a separate matter, Minister Vij also took a strong position on the Burfkhana land case in Ambala Cantonment. He said he is writing to the state government to verify whether appropriate legal documents were submitted by government employees in court following the Exciser Agreement dated February 5, 1977.
“Several legal cases remain pending because the courts were not provided with correct or complete information. I want clarity on whether the necessary documents were filed appropriately during those proceedings,” Vij said, adding that many such land-related disputes are still under judicial consideration.
Responding to Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, who recently accused the BJP government of corruption and neglecting farmers, Vij fired back sharply. “Surjewala only sees black and darkness everywhere,” he said, dismissing the allegations.
