The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is Asia's oldest stock exchange, while being the tenth oldest in the world. Before its establishment on July 9, 1875, it operated under a banyan tree in front of Mumbai's Town Hall for nearly 20 years. The Wimbledon tournament, organised by the All England Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club, began on this day in 1877
