Alia Bhatt's Ex-PA Vedika Shetty Arrested For Cheating Actress Of ₹76.90 Lakh
Mumbai: The Juhu police have arrested Vedika Prakash Shetty, 32, the former personal assistant (PA) of actress Alia Bhatt, on charges of defrauding Bhatt of ₹76,90,892 from her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited, as well as from her personal accounts.
Shetty, who was arrested in Bengaluru and brought to Mumbai on a five-day transit remand, was produced before a city court on Tuesday.
The fraud was reportedly committed over a period of two years, between May 2022 and August 2024.
The matter came to light when Alia's mother, Soni Razdan, who is also a director at Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited, filed a complaint with the Juhu police on January 23.
A case was subsequently registered under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the police, Vedika Prakash Shetty, a resident of NG Cooperative Housing Society Road in Marol, systematically cheated both the company and Alia. As Alia's secretary, she had significant financial responsibilities, which she is accused of misusing.
Alia has not reacted to the reports yet.

Darlings, which was a hit on Netflix, was the first project produced by Alia through the production house.
As per reports, the production house is valued at Rs 80 crore.

On the work front, Alia will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love And War, her second film with the stalwart director. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles, and it is scheduled to release in theatres in 2026.
She is also the first actress to have her own film in the YRF Spy Universe, titled Alpha. She will share the screen with Sharvari in it.
