Indian firms with more women see higher returns, yet 63% have no women in key roles

Despite evidence linking gender diversity to higher profits, a study of Indian companies reveals a reluctance to embrace women in leadership. The Marching Sheep Inclusion Index 2025 found firms with greater female representation report significantly higher profit margins. However, nearly two-thirds of Indian companies lack women in key managerial roles, highlighting systemic obstacles and superficial diversity initiatives.
