Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Launched: Bigger External Display, 'Slimmest' Flip Ever. Full Specs Here

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7: Samsung has officially lifted the veil on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 at Galaxy Unpacked, and it's not just another foldable phone — it’s a compact AI-powered companion that packs smarts, style, and substance into a slim, pocket-friendly design. With a revamped FlexWindow that now stretches edge to edge, the Z Flip 7 blends high-end visuals with Galaxy AI magic for a next-gen user experience that’s as functional as it is futuristic.

“Galaxy Z Flip 7 is proof that big intelligence can come in a small, pocket-sized form factor,” said TM Roh, President and Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) at Samsung Electronics. “By bringing rich multimodal AI capabilities and seamless functionality to the FlexWindow, we’ve created a device that adapts, anticipates and empowers users, unlocking a smarter, more intuitive way to engage with the world.”

At just 188 grams and 13.7mm thick when folded, this is Samsung’s slimmest Flip yet — and the most durable too, thanks to a robust Armor Aluminum Frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and a redesigned FlexHinge built for long-term endurance.

Big Flex For Bigger Screen

Samsung’s new FlexWindow is no longer just a novelty — it’s a full-fledged productivity screen. The 4.1-inch Super AMOLED panel is the biggest and brightest cover display yet on a Flip, offering 2,600 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. Whether you’re replying to messages, checking schedules, or taking selfies, you can do it all without even opening the phone.

The AI chops go deeper with built-in Galaxy AI and Google’s Gemini Live now usable right from the FlexWindow. Users can get travel tips, set reminders, look up restaurant reviews, or even ask for outfit suggestions by just pointing the camera. “Which of these outfits is better for the weather in Seoul?” Just ask, and Gemini answers.

The cover screen also supports real-time widgets, including rideshare updates, music playback, sports scores, and more. Now Brief and Now Bar bring personalised updates like commute alerts, fitness data, and event reminders right to your fingertips.

Battery to Binge, Camera to Brag

Samsung has squeezed in the largest battery ever on a Flip — a 4,300mAh cell — allowing up to 31 hours of video playback. Under the hood, a new 3nm processor ensures smooth multitasking, streaming, and gaming. Samsung DeX also debuts on the Flip line, letting users convert the phone into a makeshift PC with external display support.

Photography gets a big upgrade, too. A dual-lens system with a 50MP Wide and 12MP Ultra-Wide camera delivers flagship-level snaps, even from the FlexWindow. Enhanced Nightography and 10-bit HDR boost low-light performance and video vibrancy. Selfies are more fun with Real-Time Filters, Dual Preview, and a new Zoom Slider that adjusts the frame without flipping open.

For pet parents or playful creatives, Portrait Studio adds quirky or professional finishes with cartoon, fisheye, or stylised filters.

What About Availability?

Security hasn’t taken a backseat. With One UI 8, the Z Flip 7 introduces Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), creating isolated storage for sensitive app data. Samsung has also integrated post-quantum cryptography into Secure Wi-Fi to future-proof your online safety.

Pre-orders begin July 9, with general availability from July 25. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 arrives in Blue Shadow, Jetblack, Coralred, and an online-exclusive Mint, while the Flip 7 FE ships in Black or White. Buyers also get six months of Google AI Pro and 2TB cloud storage free, along with Samsung Care+ for accidental coverage and the New Galaxy Club benefits.
