Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Now Official: First Z-Series 200MP Camera, 'Lightest' Foldable In The Series. FULL SPECS HERE

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Samsung has officially pulled the wraps off the Galaxy Z Fold 7, a foldable smartphone that packs flagship power, AI intelligence, and sleek aesthetics — all wrapped into the company’s thinnest and lightest fold yet. With this launch, the Korean tech giant isn’t just iterating on design but pushing the boundaries of what mobile devices can be.

Samsung's 'Lightest Foldable Ever'

Weighing just 215 grams, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Samsung’s lightest foldable ever, even lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It measures 8.9mm when folded and just 4.2mm unfolded. Users will find a wider 6.5-inch cover screen with a new 21:9 aspect ratio that improves usability, making everyday tasks like typing and browsing feel familiar.

Durability hasn't taken a backseat either. The re-engineered Armor FlexHinge features a multi-rail structure and a water droplet-inspired design to reduce visible creasing and enhance strength. The device uses Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2 for improved crack resistance, along with Advanced Armor Aluminum to boost toughness. The main display is fortified with a Titanium layer and 50% thicker Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG), aiming to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use.

Bigger Display, All 11% Of It

Unfold the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and you're greeted by an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen — 11% larger than its predecessor. Designed for multitaskers, it offers an expansive canvas for editing, watching videos, or running multiple apps simultaneously. With Vision Booster technology and up to 2,600 nits of brightness, the screen remains crisp even under direct sunlight.

Samsung is betting big on AI this time. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, boasting a 41% bump in NPU performance, making real-time features like live translation and generative edits smoother. “Galaxy Z Fold 7 becomes a smart and secure personal assistant, ready to help anytime, anywhere,” the company said.

One UI 8 is designed from the ground up for foldables and brings AI features closer to users. Tools like Circle to Search, Side-by-Side Editing, and AI-powered drag-and-drop make it easier to create, browse, and manage content in real-time.

First Foldable With 200MP Snapper

Photography takes a serious leap forward with the Fold 7. It becomes the first Galaxy Z device to feature a 200MP wide-angle camera — delivering 4x more detail and up to 44% brighter images. A 10MP 100° front camera ensures no one gets cut out of your group selfies.

Thanks to the ProVisual Engine, Samsung promises faster and sharper image processing. “With Night Video, intelligent motion detection now separates moving subjects from still backgrounds to reduce noise,” the company noted. Video creators also benefit from 10-bit HDR support for more realistic visuals and richer colour depth.

On the editing front, Samsung is doubling down on AI tools like Generative Edit and Photo Assist. These let users erase objects, adjust angles, and even suggest content edits — all optimised for the big screen. Audio Eraser now detects and removes ambient sounds automatically, perfect for creators on the go.

Knox Knox, It's There

With smarter devices come higher security demands, and Samsung has built the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with that in mind. A new feature called Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) adds app-specific secure environments. The company is also rolling out post-quantum cryptography for secure Wi-Fi, helping users stay protected even on public networks.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 begin July 9, with general sales starting July 25. The phone will be available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jetblack, and an online-exclusive Mint. Buyers will also get six months of Google AI Pro and 2TB of cloud storage free, and comprehensive Samsung Care+ support.

With its foldable finesse, AI chops, and pro-grade imaging, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 might just be Samsung’s boldest foldable yet. We'll get to know more once we get our hands on it, so stay tuned!
