Additional Municipal Commissioner inspects cleanliness, quality of material used in works in Yamunanagar

Additional Municipal Commissioner (AMC) Dheeraj Kumar inspected the cleanliness work and the quality of the construction material used in development works in several wards of Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ). He inspected these works along with municipal engineer, junior engineer (JE) and sanitation inspectors.

He instructed sanitation inspectors to improve cleanliness of their respective areas and lift garbage regularly. At the same time, he checked the quality of tiles of newly constructed streets.

He instructed officials of the Engineering Department to pay special attention to the quality of development works. AME Dheeraj Kumar said on the instructions of Akhil Pilani, Commissioner of the MCYJ, the cleanliness work and quality of development works was being checked.

According to information, AMC Dheeraj Kumar reached Raja Ram Gali located in the Chhoti Line area of Ward No. 15 in Jagadhri. In this area, he inspected drains and underground pipelines along with JE Rampal Mann.

Thereafter, he inspected cleanliness at various places including Joginder Nagar of Ward No. 16 and Adarsh Nagar (Camp area) of Ward No. 17.

Along with night sweeping, he inspected door-to-door garbage collection in markets. He inspected an under construction community centre in Badhi Majra of Ward No. 12.

Thereafter, he along with JEs Rampal Mann, Manish and Gagan checked the quality of the construction material used in under construction streets in Ward No. 9. In this area, he got the tiles removed from a street and checked its quality.

He also inspected development works and cleanliness in Ward No. 11, Udhmagarh Majri of Ward No. 3 and Indira Colony of Ward No. 5. He strictly warned officers and employees that any kind of laxity and negligence in maintaining cleanliness and development works would not be tolerated.

“All employees and officers should perform their duties with honesty. There should be regular cleaning in every ward. After cleaning, garbage should be cleared from all places,” said AMC Dheeraj Kumar.

He said officials of the engineering branch should keep an eye on development works under progress in the twin cities. The AMC also told officials to ensure that high quality material was used in every development work.
