BJP government nominates 96 councillors in Haryana
Nearly three months after the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections were held in various districts of the state, the BJP has nominated 96 councillors, ending the wait for many local leaders who had been lobbying for these positions.
The official list of nominated councillors has been released by Vikas Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department. Of the total 96, 72 councillors have been nominated to municipal councils and committees, while 24 have been appointed to eight municipal corporations, with three nominees in each.
In Rohtak, the nominated members are Ramesh Bohar, Ashok Verma and Anita Garg; in Faridabad, Yogesh Sharma, Priyanka Bisht Budhani and Jaswant Saini; and in Gurugram, Sachin Dewatwal, Vikrant Yadav and Krishan Swami.
Usha Rani, Seema Gulati and Harbhajan Singh in Yamunanagar; Gaurav Nagpal, Umesh Parocha and Vishesh Verma in Karnal; and Dharmbir Kashyap, Gaurav Srivastava and Himanshu Banga in Panipat have been nominated.
Satdev Sharma, Kirori Tanwar and Sher Singh have been nominated for Manesar while Suresh Jangra, Gagan Sharma and Surjit Saini for Hisar municipal corporation.
