India Gate Banned These Items: For Delhiites, India Gate is a place where till date either families go for holidays or couples come here to spend some romantic time. But now that will not be the case where families used to bring their own sheets and sit on the grass and play games, or people used to get their photos clicked there, not only this, children used to entertain themselves by running here and there.

But now there will be silence here, you will only hear the sound of traffic from around. Let us tell you, now the practice of picnics has been stopped at India Gate, now neither will you be able to eat food here, nor will pets be seen. Let us tell you why this has been done.

Family members are roaming in two parts

India Gate is not only visited by people from India but also by tourists from all over the world. But now some changes have been made in the security and visitor rules here, due to which the experience of people coming in families and groups has changed a bit. Now people visiting India Gate will have to leave their bags, luggage, food and pets outside.

Because of this, now most of the families are visiting in two groups, half the people first see India Gate and the rest of the people guard the luggage outside. Then when the first group comes back, the second group goes inside. Because of this, families are not able to visit India Gate together, due to which a lot of disappointment is being seen among the people.

There is also a ban on making videos

According to the new rules, now people visiting India Gate cannot carry bags, sheets, food or pets with them. This means that picnics will no longer be allowed there, whereas earlier people often used to sit at India Gate and eat, drink and have fun. Apart from this, the central government is also considering a ban on making videos in this area.

There is no provision for lockers here

People say that there is a ban on bringing luggage here, but no facility of lockers has been provided. While locker facilities are available at historical sites like Red Fort and Qutub Minar, there is nothing like that at India Gate, due to which tourists are facing a lot of problems. The guards posted at the security gate immediately stop those who have prohibited items and clearly say that there is no place to keep them.

What people say

Tourists have expressed their displeasure over the new rules. A traveller from Prayagraj said that he had to wait outside while his family went inside to roam around, because they were not allowed inside due to the new rules. He said, “There is no locker here, so I have to wait outside.”

Another tourist, who also came from Prayagraj, called the lack of locker facility a “big mistake”. At the same time, a traveller from Banaras appealed to the administration to take care of the problems of the common people along with security, because many people come from far and wide to see this historical site.

Steps have been taken to beautify India Gate

According to the information available on the net, security officials said that these steps are being taken to keep India Gate beautiful and to maintain it. According to them, the new grass and gardening that was done there was getting spoiled due to people having picnics, eating food and spending hours there. Therefore, now a ban has been imposed on carrying bags, sheets and food so that the beauty of India Gate remains intact. Officials are also saying that soon locker facility will be provided there, so that people do not face any problem in keeping their belongings.
