Cong’s district training camps big draw
As part of the ongoing Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan to strengthen the Congress party at the grassroots, the District Training Camps in Delhi witnessed an enthusiastic turnout on Thursday, with sessions held in Kirari, Krishna Nagar, and Karawal Nagar.
The initiative, being held under the direction of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, aims to equip Congress workers with the ideological and organisational tools to confront what the party calls the “divisive and destructive policies of the BJP government.”
The camps were organised under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Devender Yadav, with participation from district and block-level leaders, office bearers, and local workers. The training sessions began with the flag hoisting ceremony and the national anthem, setting a tone of unity and discipline.
Speaking at the event, Yadav said the training camps were not only energising party workers but also preparing them to effectively challenge the BJP’s narrative on the ground. “The overwhelming presence and commitment of our district and mandalam presidents reflect the Congress party’s revival at the grassroots level. These camps are building a strong, confident cadre ready to take on every challenge,” he said.
Yadav stressed the importance of exposing what he described as the anti-people policies of the BJP. He accused the ruling party of attempting to polarise society through hate and division. “Congress workers must confront this strategy head-on and communicate our history of inclusive governance, development, and welfare to the public through all platforms — from ground campaigns to social media,” he added.
Taking a direct aim at the BJP’s call for a “Congress-free India,” Yadav declared that the Congress will not let that happen. “With public support growing stronger, Congress will not allow communal forces to subvert democracy and the Constitution. We are preparing now to uproot the BJP in 2029,” he asserted.
