DA Hike: For the first time, the Chandigarh Administration has given the option of choosing Dearness Allowance (DA) to the employees working on deputation. Under this option, the employees from Haryana in the Chandigarh Administration accepted the DA of their state.
Haryana Employee DA: There is good news for the government employees of Haryana. The employees of Haryana working on deputation in Chandigarh have been given the option to choose Dearness Allowance (DA), that is, these employees will now get increased Dearness Allowance (DA) like the Haryana Government.
On July 9, the Chandigarh Administration has issued an order to all Administrative Secretaries / Heads of Departments / Offices regarding the revision of Dearness Allowance of the employees of Haryana State working on deputation in the Chandigarh Administration.
What is written in the order
Actually, a large number of Haryana government employees are working on deputation in the Union Territory of Chandigarh Administration, so now for the first time the Chandigarh Administration has given the option of choosing Dearness Allowance (DA) to the employees working on deputation. Under this option, the employees from Haryana in the Chandigarh Administration accepted the DA of their state. Due to this, the employees with 40 percent quota i.e. the employees on deputation from Haryana will get the benefit of 55 percent DA for the month of July, while the DA facility will not be applicable to the employees with 60 percent quota i.e. the employees of Punjab.
Update on arrears too
The arrears of DA from 1 January 2023 will be paid from the salary budget of 2025-26, if the departments have the budget available. This benefit will be available to those employees of Haryana government who are on deputation in Chandigarh Administration and take salary as per the original post of Haryana. If the employees choose DA of their state, then they will have to take deputation allowance as per their state and holidays will also be available as per the policy of the administration. This order has been issued by the Finance Department (Accounts Branch) of Chandigarh Administration on 9 July 2025. It has been signed by the Finance and Planning Officer on behalf of the Finance Secretary.
