The Railways has made this change keeping in mind the convenience of passengers and traffic management.

Jodhpur Railway News: Due to the engineering and power block taken for necessary technical works between Bikaner-Lalgarh stations located in Bikaner division of North Western Railway, the railway administration has changed the route and operation of some trains. In which train number 14888, Barmer-Rishikesh Express running from Barmer to Rishikesh will be operated on September 18 via the changed route Jodhpur-Phalodi-Lalgarh instead of its scheduled route Jodhpur-Merta Road-Bikaner-Lalgarh. On this special day, the train will also stop at Phalodi station, which was not included in its route on normal days.

Jodhpur Divisional Railway Manager Anurag Tripathi informed that this change has been made due to the ongoing engineering works between Bikaner-Lalgarh section, so that the safety of passengers can be ensured and the quality of rail traffic and operation can be further improved in future.

Operation of other trains also affected

The said block will also affect other trains. Due to this, train number 14719, Jaipur-Suratgarh Express has also been partially cancelled. This train will run only from Jaipur to Bikaner on 18 September, while this train will remain cancelled between Bikaner to Suratgarh. Passengers have been advised to confirm their destination and train status before travelling.

Railway DRM Anurag Tripathi said that this change has been made temporarily giving priority to the safety of passengers and smooth operation.
