Shocking VIDEO: 15-Yr-Old Boy Dies Of Electrocution While Removing Shuttlecock During Badminton Game In Naigaon Near Vasai
Naigaon: A tragic incident has come to light from Maharashtra’s Naigaon, where a 15-year-old boy died after being electrocuted while playing badminton in a residential building on Friday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Akash Santosh Sahu, a Class 10 student. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. when Akash was playing badminton with his friends. The shuttlecock got stuck near a window of a house on the first floor. While attempting to retrieve it, Akash came into contact with a live electric wire.
CCTV Footage Surfaces
CCTV footage of the incident shows Akash climbing up to retrieve the shuttlecock, while one of his friends tries to dislodge it using a wooden stick. Several other children are seen sitting nearby, holding badminton rackets and waiting.
The video further shows the friend dropping the stick and attempting to support Akash with his bare hands, suddenly getting a mild electric shock himself and steps back in pain. Moments later, Akash suddenly falls with force. His friends rush to him, lift his unconscious body, and carry him away.
It is suspected that he got a severe electric shock after coming in contact with some electric wiring in the window from which he was hanging. The minor was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police Action
Reportedly, police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
