JAMMU, July 12: Stating that language option should be given to the candidates for the Naib Tehsildars’ examination in the Jammu and Kashmir, the JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra today alleged that BJP is trying to politicize every issue.

Talking to the media-persons on the sidelines of a function organized by the Kissan Cell of the party here today, JKPCC chief said that the recruitment agency should give language option like Hindi, Urdu, English etc to the candidates intending to sit in the examination. The officially recognised languages should be given as the option to the candidates. The controversy erupted over the language should be resolved, he added.
Replying to a question, Karra said it is true that youth are protesting in Jammu over the language issue. This situation should not be allowed to become as ‘Jammu-versus Kashmir’ or ‘Urdu versus Hindi’. “That situation should be avoided and a sensible decision should be taken to resolve the issue,” the JKPCC chief said.
Referring to the issue of Statehood, Karra said that the stand of the Congress party is clear. ” We want restoration of Statehood without any more delay. The BJP leadership despite commitment is avoiding to clear their stand. On Pahalgam attack issue and Operation Sindoor, the Congress leader said that BJP was trying to politicize these issues for the political interests.
Responding to the question on the comments of LoP from BJP in West Bengal, asking Bengalis not to visit Kashmir, Karra said BJP stood exposed over the issue. Shubendu Adhikari has categorically asked the Hindus not to visit Muslim dominated Kashmir. This party has always done Hindu versus Muslims and created wedge among people of this country.
PCC president recalled the slogan of former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kissan’ and said that the condition of ‘Jawans’ and ‘Kissans’ in the country is visible to everyone. He said the consistent and spirited fight of the farmers against the flawed decisions and laws of the Modi Government promoted significant challenge to the Government.
He recalled the farmers struggle in the country, in which 700 farmers died and said that it was the victory under the dynamic and able leadership of Rahul Gandhi over the Modi Government when the Congress party extensively organized programmes in the country for the welfare of the farmer Community.
He congratulated newly appointed Chairman of Kissan Cell, Bharat Priya, and asked him that he should start contacting Kissans throughout the state and take up the problems with the Government, advisors and other concerned for redressal of their genuine demands.
Bharat Priya suggested that the Kissans, being back bone of our country are facing problems to get agriculture loan, Kissan Bima Yojna and Kissan Credit Card facility. He urged the Government to form Advisory Board of Kissans, the electricity bill should be zero to the kissans, the Nano Urea should be stopped at the earliest without any delay.
On this occasion several DPAP leaders from Doda district and Thathri block along with their supporters joined Congress Party. Newly appointed Kissan Cell Chairman, Bharat Priya was felicitated on the occasion.
Party senior leaders Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram, Ch Lal Singh, Yogesh Sawhney, Thakur Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Dina Nath Bhagat, TS Tony, Neeraj Gupta, Sanjeev Panda, Pankaj Dogra, Parvez Wani, Sheikh Mujeeb, Asif Naqib, Vinod Khajuria, Bupinder Singh Jamwal and others were also present on the occasion.
