InventX 2025 concludes at IIT Jammu

JAMMU, July 12: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu hosted the grand finale of InventX 2025, its flagship innovation and entrepreneurship program.
The finale marked the culmination of a rigorous six-week journey of ideation, mentorship, prototyping, and patenting, where student teams presented impactful solutions in healthcare, biotech, agriculture and emergency response.
A distinguished jury comprising eminent leaders from academia, industry, and healthcare evaluated the teams based on innovation, feasibility, and real-world applicability.
The panel included Ritu Singh, Director, Hari Niwas Hotel and Resorts; Prof Karamjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University; Dr Yashpal Sharma, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence; Dr Rajesh Kumar, Principal, Autonomous State Medical College Shahjahanpur; Prof Ashitava Ghosal, Senior Professor, IISc and Ahmedabad University; Dr Balvinder Singh, Vice President, India & Growing Markets Development Centre, HP; Devina Kothari, Director, Zuan Design Labs; Aditya Gupta, CEO, Orient Bell Ltd; Ponnusamy Pillai, Unit Head, UPL Jammu.
The Winners of InventX 2025- IIT Jammu were: 1st Prize – Asthma Spacer, Category: Healthcare – A pocket-sized, device utilizing vortex technology entrainment and evaporation boosted for precise drug delivery, Team members: Jyotiraditya Bag, Devanshee Kansara, and Nabil Suraj; 2nd Prize – Larvae extractor, Category: Agri-Biotech – An agri-biotech tool enabling safe, non-invasive removal of parasitic larvae from animals, Team members: Sudhanshu Kumar, Anneasa Manna, and Parv; 3rd Prize – Portable CPR Assist Device, Category: Biomedical Engineering, A spring-lever mechanism that amplifies CPR compression force and provides real-time feedback, Team members: Nakshat Thakkar, Aditya Agrawal, and Manashri Vashishtha; Special Jury Award by UPL – Fire Extinguisher trainer, Category: Tools/Engineering, A scalable, rapid-deployment extinguisher trainer designed for next-generation fire safety, Team members: Aman Nagar and Kriti Puri.
