Terrible Video: Chhattisgarh Youth On Scooter Crashes Into High-Tension Wire Hanging Mid-Road; Dies After 10-Day Long Battle For Life In Raipur

A young man from Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, died due to the electricity company’s negligence after sustaining severe injuries in an accident caused by a hanging wire on Sadar Road. The victim, who crashed into the wire and fell from his scooter, succumbed to his injuries following a 10-day battle in a Jaipur hospital. CCTV footage of the incident has recently surfaced.

A case had already been registered against the electricity company, and additional charges will be added following the victim’s death. The incident occurred between 4 and 5 AM on 2nd July when Suresh Soni, a resident of Bauripara, was heading towards Kharsia Naka on his scooter. Near Jaipuri Kurti Shop at Kadammi Chowk, a broken electrical wire was hanging dangerously low on the road, causing Soni to become entangled and crash.

After the collision, he lay unconscious on the road for nearly an hour before locals and police arrived. He was rushed to Ambikapur Government Hospital but, due to his critical condition, was later referred to Raipur. Unfortunately, he succumbed to severe head injuries.

The deceased’s nephew, Abhishek Soni, stated that they possess CCTV footage clearly showing the hanging wire as the cause of the accident. He blamed the electricity department’s gross negligence and demanded strict action against the responsible officials. Based on the family’s complaint, police have registered an FIR under Sections 125A and 289 of the IPC.

Additional Superintendent of Police Amolak Singh Dhillon confirmed that a case had already been filed earlier and that further legal action would now follow in light of the victim’s death
