Bhiwani university unveils 28 courses

Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU), Bhiwani, has announced a major academic expansion, to take effect from the 2025-26 academic session.

Vice-Chancellor Deepti Dharmani said the university was set to offer 28 new courses, bringing the total number of academic programmes (undergraduate, post-graduate, and diploma) offered by the university to 64.

The VC said the university had introduced weekend diploma courses, which would be held on Saturdays and Sundays.

“This flexible model is designed to benefit students, working professionals, and others who wish to upgrade their skills without disrupting their weekday commitments. Regular classes for other programmes will take place from Monday to Friday,” she said.

Among the newly announced courses are MA (Sanskrit), MA (sociology), MA (music), LLM (evening), MSc (geo-informatics), and MSc [mathematics and computing (industry integrated)]. Integrated five-year programmes in physics and mathematics have also been introduced, along with various undergraduate degrees such as BSc [biotechnology (honours with research)], BJMC, BCA (artificial intelligence and cloud computing) and BSc (yoga).

Diploma and PG diploma courses cover in-demand fields such as mass communication, cyber security, drone technology, forensic science, sports science, and foreign languages.

The VC said CBLU was the first university in the state to offer diploma programmes concurrently with degree courses, enabling students to pursue dual qualifications.

The innovative model was aligned with current industry demands and enhanced students’ employability, academic profile, and intellectual growth, Dharmani added.
