Saina Nehwal Announces Separation from Husband Parupalli Kashyap

New Delhi: Badminton star Saina Nehwal on Sunday announced her separation from Husband P. Kashyap. The Olympic medalist confirmed her split from fellow shuttler Parupalli Kashyap after nearly seven-year marriage. In a heartfelt social media post on July 13, Saina shared that the decision was made after careful thought, citing the need for “peace, growth, and healing.”

“Life takes us in different directions sometimes. After much thought and consideration, Kashyap Parupalli and I have decided to part ways. We’re choosing peace, growth, and healing—for ourselves and each other. I’m grateful for the memories and wish nothing but the best moving forward. Thank you for understanding and respecting our privacy during this time” she posted on her Instagram story.

The duo tied the knot in December 2018.
