Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon XR Day In India On July 21 To Showcase Next-Gen AR, VR And Spatial Computing

Qualcomm has announced the first event under its flagship ‘Snapdragon for India’ initiative, with ‘XR Day’ scheduled for July 21 in New Delhi. The day-long event aims to spotlight the company's growing role in extended reality (XR) technologies, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), as it looks to shape India’s future in immersive computing.

XR Day will see developers, hardware makers, and ecosystem partner together to showcase real-world use cases spanning entertainment, fitness, healthcare, and education. It will also see the unveiling of new collaborations and XR solutions built on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platforms, which already power leading smart glasses and immersive wearables globally.

“Snapdragon is at the heart of the XR revolution, and India is key to our global vision,” the company said, adding that XR Day signals the start of a new chapter for immersive tech in the country.

Following the Snapdragon XR Day, Qualcomm will host its first-ever Snapdragon Auto Day in India on July 30 in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), showcasing its latest in-vehicle technologies, strategic partnerships, and solutions tailored for local challenges. These include connected car experiences and software-driven innovations built on Snapdragon platforms, developed in India to meet regional needs.

The XR Day and Auto Day mark Qualcomm's debut automotive and spatial computing-focused events in the country, where it will highlight technologies such as the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 platform—used in devices like Meta Quest 3—and chipsets powering advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and in-car infotainment.
