Car crashes into tractor‑trolley on Amritsar-Attari road, 3 dead
Three people died on the spot when their speeding car rammed into a tractor-trolley moving in front of it. Three others on the tractor-trolley were injured in the mishap that occurred late Sunday evening.
The deceased were identified as Bikram Singh (18) of New Amritsar, Manish Kumar (35) of Guru Amardass Colony, and Kamalpreet Singh of Bhalla Colony. The bodies were handed over to family members, who urged the police not to initiate any action in this connection.
According to police, the three were going from Khasa to Attari side when the incident took place near Thodi village. The police said Bikram Singh was driving the car at high speed; he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the tractor-trolley from behind.
The impact was so strong that their car struck beneath it and was badly damaged. The trolley was also detached from the tractor, which turned turtle.
