Man Enters Kriti Sanon & KL Rahul's Mumbai Building, Damages Lift & Makes Inappropriate Gestures At CCTV Cameras; FIR Registered In Bandra
In an alarming security breach, an unidentified man entered a high-profile residential building at Mumbai's Pali Hill in Bandra West - home to several celebrities including Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, veteran actor Javed Jaaferi, and cricketer KL Rahul. Reportedly, the man caused damage to the building's lift. He placed large stones inside the elevator and made inappropriate gestures at the CCTV cameras installed in the premises.
The incident occurred around 1 am on June 19 at a housing society located on Nargis Dutt Road. According to a report in Mid-Day, the Khar police have registered an FIR and launched an investigation into the matter.
The complainant, Umesh Sarate (36), who serves as the security manager of the society, detailed the sequence of events to the authorities.
The report further mentioned that a police officer stated the man arrived at the premises in a yellow car and entered through Gate No. 1, stating that he was headed to a flat on the 17th floor. "The flat owner had earlier instructed security to allow guests in without intercom confirmation. Based on this, the security supervisor Shyam Pandey let him in and asked him to park in the guest parking at basement 2," the officer reportedly said.
However, the man parked his vehicle in basement 1 and had to be redirected by another guard, Vijay Yadav.
He then handed over his car keys to guard Javed Nawad, claiming he needed to use the washroom. "10 minutes later, he said he wanted to visit a flat on the 14th floor, but when security attempted to confirm with the resident via intercom, there was no response," added the officer. The man later insisted again on going to the 17th floor. Sensing something unusual, the security team escorted him out.
The following morning, the building's lift was found inoperable. CCTV footage revealed the man had placed large stones inside the lift and was seen making mocking and obscene gestures toward the surveillance cameras.
An FIR has been registered in this matter. The accused was traced using his car number and cops found out that he is currently hospitalised. Further investigation will reportedly be conducted once he is discharged.
