Milano Cortina 2026 Unveils Medals Celebrating Italian Design and Unity

VENICE, 15 July 2025 – The medals for the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games were revealed in Venice, showcasing Italian craftsmanship and the spirit of victory. Presented by Olympian Valentina Marchei at Palazzo Balbi on the Canal Grande, the medals arrived by boat, escorted by sporting legends Federica Pellegrini and Francesca Porcellato.

Designed by the Milano Cortina 2026 team, the medals embody elegance, sustainability, and the passion of athletes. Crafted by the Italian State Mint (IPZS) using recycled metals and renewable energy, they feature eco-friendly packaging. Each medal, a unique piece, symbolizes the union of Milan and Cortina, with two halves joined by Olympic and Paralympic values, reflecting teamwork and perseverance.
