New Delhi: 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has once again created history. Now it seems that this young player is used to setting new records. So far, he has made headlines with his batting performance, but now he has done wonders in bowling as well. He set a record on the second day of the Youth Test against England.

Suryavanshi becomes youngest wicket-taker

Suryavanshi dismissed England Under-19 captain Hamza Sheikh for 84 runs to become the youngest wicket-taker in youth Test cricket. He achieved this feat at the age of only 14 years and 107 days.

Did amazing with bowling, took two wickets

Left-arm spinner Suryavanshi later dismissed Thomas Rieu for 34 runs and took two wickets for 35 runs in 12 overs. Thanks to his performance, India bowled out England for 439 to take a crucial lead of 101 runs.

He also made a splash in the ODI series

Earlier, Suryavanshi had also performed brilliantly in the ODI series. He played a key role in the 3-2 series win against England Under-19s. He scored a total of 355 runs in the series, including a century and a half-century.

Unique records set in ODIs

Suryavanshi’s performance is the fifth-highest run-scoring performance ever in an Under-19 bilateral ODI series and the second-best as an opener. He became the first player to score more than 300 runs at a strike rate of 150 in an Under-19 series.
