Haryana: 'School Friends' Thrash Youth To Death In Faridabad Over 5-Month-Old Dispute, Post Video Of Assault On Social Media; 7 Arrested
Faridabad: A shocking incident surfaced from Haryana's Faridabad, where a gym trainer, along with his aides, allegedly kidnapped a 20-year-old youth and thrashed him to death over a dispute at a wedding function. The accused reportedly knew the victim since school days. The incident took place in Faridabad's Ballabhgarh. The deceased has been identified as Aakash. He was a native of Uttar Pradesh's Balia, but was living in Faridabad with his family.
According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the accused kidnapped Aakash on July 12 and took him to the forest area in Ballabhgarh and then brutally assaulted him with sticks. They not only recorded the crime but also posted the video on social media.
The accused dumped the the on the roadside and fled and fled from the spot. A passerby informed the police, and Aakash was admitted to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital, reported Hindustan Times. He was later admitted to a private hospital in NIT-5 locality. However, the 20-year-old youth succumbed to injuries.
The two main accused have been identified as Mohammad Sohail and Sahil Kumar. Both are reportedly 22 years old. They were arrested on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the other five accused-Tarif Khan, Vikas Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Mohammad Altaf, and a juvenile - were taken into custody immediately after the crime, reported Hindustan Times.
The accused were Aakash's school friends. According to reports, a dispute took place between the victim and the accused almost five months ago at a wedding function.
Aakash was kidnapped on July 12. As per his family, he went to work, but did not report. Later, a doctor of the hospital, where Aakash was admitted, called the family by getting the phone number from the victim's mobile.
As per the Dainik Bhaskar report, Aakash's hip and palm bones were broken. He also sustained injuries on his stomach and chest.
Notably, the video of the accused assaulting Aakash was uploaded on Instagram on July 15.
A case has been registered at the Sector 7 police post on the basis of a complaint filed by the deceased's mother. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
