CET: Transport Dept to deploy 9,200 buses for candidates

A spokesperson for the Haryana State Transport Department today said that a comprehensive travel plan had been prepared to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the CET-2025. The exam will be conducted on July 26 and 27, with about 14 lakh candidates appearing in four shifts.

The spokesperson said approximately 1,500 exam centres had been established across Haryana and Chandigarh. The department would deploy 9,200 roadways buses to assist in the commute of candidates.

Each district administration had been assigned the responsibility of arranging shuttle bus services from main villages and towns to the exam centres. Interchange points were being created for candidates who needed to travel over 100 km to make their transfers smooth.

Candidates can visit https://hartrans.gov.in/advance-booking-for-cet-2025/ and provide details about how they plan to travel, he said, adding that keeping in mind the Teej festival, around 1,000 buses would be kept in regular service to ensure that the general public did not face any inconvenience.
