Along with this, the train has also been given a two-minute stop at Hapur railway station. This will benefit passengers from Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Shamli and other nearby districts. This decision was taken on the request of UP Minister of State and Muzaffarnagar Sadar MLA Kapil Dev Agarwal.

Minister of State Kapil Dev Agarwal said that people of Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Saharanpur, Shamli, Hapur, Baghpat and Bulandshahr had a lot of trouble traveling to Shri Ayodhya Dham and Varanasi because direct rail service was available only from Meerut to Lucknow. In view of this problem, he recently met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and demanded to extend the Vande Bharat Express to Shri Ayodhya Dham and Varanasi.

Accepting this demand, the Railway Minister approved the extension and issued a letter informing about it. Now this train will run from Meerut to Varanasi via Shri Ayodhya Dham. The new timetable will be announced soon. Kapil Dev Agarwal said that this decision will provide great relief to the passengers and devotees of the area. Also, the passengers there will also get direct benefit by getting a two-minute stop in Hapur.

A year ago, Vande Bharat ran between Meerut and Lucknow

Let us tell you that on 31 August 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat train between Meerut and Lucknow. But the people of the district were disappointed due to its not getting a stoppage at Hapur railway station. The people of the district and the railway passengers had demanded from MP Arun Govil, former MP Rajendra Agarwal, Minister in-charge Kapil Dev Agarwal to get the stoppage of this train here, so that along with Hapur, the people of Bulandshahr district and the surrounding districts can also get relief. Recently, the route of this train has been extended. The train will now go to Varanasi along with Lucknow.

People going to Varanasi will get convenience

In such a situation, this train is very good for the passengers going to Varanasi and Ayodhya. After the stoppage of the train by the public representatives, the Railway Ministry had sought a report from the divisional level regarding the stoppage of the train, which was sent to the Ministry. The feasibility was checked by the Operation and Commercial Department for the stoppage of the train in Hapur recently. The report of which was sent to the Railway Board. As soon as the people of the district got the information about the stoppage of the train on Wednesday evening, a wave of happiness ran among them. Traders, advocates and railway passengers expressed their gratitude to the public representatives.

Stone pelting on Vande Bharat train again

On the other hand, Vande Bharat train going from Prayagraj to Gorakhpur has been pelted with stones again. However, no one has been injured in this. On receiving the information, RPF has started investigation. After leaving Raebareli station, when Vande Bharat Express was crossing the double gate, someone threw stones on the train.

Stone pelting caused chaos in the coach. The loco pilot informed RPF at Lucknow station about this. RPF in-charge Arvind Singh was informed about the stone pelting. RPF in-charge said that on Thursday CCTV footage will be taken out and it will be investigated and after that the stone pelter will be arrested. Stone pelting incidents often occur on Vande Bharat train. An arrest was also made in one case but such incidents are not stopping.
