Centre aims to create 2 lakh agri credit societies: Shah
Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah on Thursday said the Centre aimed to create two lakh new primary agricultural credit societies (PACS), out of which 40,000 have already been created, while there computerisation has also been completed.
Addressing a cooperative sector job fair in Jaipur, Shah said the Centre had guaranteed the purchase of pulses, oilseeds and maize of farmers registering on the NAFED and NCCF app at the minimum support price (MSP) and if the price being received in the market were more than the MSP, then the farmers were free to sell their produce in the market.
