Piracy, the unwritten villain of Telugu films

Before the first weekend of a new theatrical release ends, entire films are pirated and posted online, leaving Telugu cinema wide open to digital loot. With losses estimated at ₹3,700 crore in 2024, the industry is shifting from damage control to decisive action through police arrests, court orders and digital tracking.
