Google India Rolls Out Same Day Repairs In 21 Cities, Readies Pixel 10 Launch in August

Google India has unveiled a major upgrade to its post-sales support for Pixel users—introducing same-day repairs across 21 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Owners who submit their Pixel phone, Pixel Watch, or Pixel Buds before 2 PM at Google-exclusive or priority service centres can have devices repaired and collected the same day, with Google targeting an ambitious 80 percent completion rate. For those outside service centre range, a free doorstep pickup and drop-off mail-in service complements the offering.

This robust support thrust follows Google’s earlier launch of its official India online store in May this year, providing direct access to the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold—alongside in-house management of logistics, after-sales service, and repairs. The move marks a strategic push to strengthen trust and smoothen user experience in one of Google's fastest-growing markets.

The US tech giant has announced that it will host its annual Made by Google event in New York City (Brooklyn), kicking off at 1 PM ET (10:30 PM IST). The event will launch the full Pixel 10 series —including the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and notably, the foldable 10 Pro Fold—along with complementary devices like Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a.

Expect feature-rich upgrades: powered by the new Tensor G5 chip (fabricated via TSMC), the Pixel 10 family is anticipated to include AI-enhanced photography, macro and stabilization improvements, a sleeker Material 3 UI, enhanced performance, and Android 16 out-of-the-box. The Pro Fold variant also reportedly brings IP68 dust-and-water resistance, improved battery life, and a larger display.

With after-sales service ramped up and the next-generation Pixel lineup launching soon, Google is steadily building both its hardware presence and brand reputation in India. The Google event will be followed by Apple's event sometime in early September, which will see the unveil of the new iPhone 17 series lineup.
