Public Darbar receives overwhelming response

With the presence of multinational companies and several corporate offices, the footfall at Parel station has significantly increased. Additionally, as the area houses many major hospitals, the public has demanded a halt for fast trains at this station. Minister of Skill Development Mangal Prabhat Lodha stated that this demand will be pursued with the railway administration. He was speaking at the Janta Darbar organized at the F-South ward office of the Municipal Corporation. Local MLA Kalidas Kolambkar, Assistant Commissioner of F-South Ward Mahesh Patil, and senior police officials were also present at the Darbar. The event saw an overwhelming response from citizens. The minister said that the administrative machinery must reach the people directly and understand their problems in order to resolve them.

More than 300 citizens raised their grievances during the Darbar, of which over 200 were resolved on the spot by senior officials.
