SCG Thane organises 4km Monsoon Walkathon & 1-Day Picnic for Senior Citizens
To promote a healthy lifestyle and senior citizen care, F-TAM and Senior Citizen Group (SCG) Thane organized the “Walk for Life” 4km Monsoon Walkathon on Sunday, 13th July 2025. The route spanned from Hyde Park Society to Upvan Lake and back, drawing over 125 participants including senior citizens, women, and youth.
The walkathon also aimed to raise awareness about the Anand Nilayam Senior Citizen Home. Participants received full support from organizers and sponsors, including T-shirts, coconut water, and juices.
SCG Thane President Jaganbabu Ganji congratulated all attendees and committed to hosting similar events regularly. Notable participants included Dr. Rammoorthy, Harish Shetty, M.S. Rao, Selvaraj Pillai, Mahesh Motwani, Surendra, Shubha, Raghava Rao, Sunil Bhairi, Ravi Sunkara, Sharvari, Kalyani, Nemaluri Sandhya, Padmakar Rao, and Rapalla Ramchandar.
Jaganbabu encouraged senior citizens to join SCG Thane to support one another and pursue hobbies, skills, and cultural activities.
He also announced a one-day picnic on Sunday, 27th July 2025, with visits planned to Brindavanama Farms, Pongannor Mini Cows Gaushala, Umberkindh Shivaji Maharaj War Memorial, Pali Ashta Vinayak Ganapati Temple, Unhere Hot Water Springs, waterfalls, and the 5-acre Anand Nilayam Senior Citizen Home project site.
