Christian Eriksen has left Old Trafford and Casemiro is unlikely to get a contract extension, meaning Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes will need some help in the middle of the park in the long run. Amorim finds this a priority after having sealed attacking signings in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbuemo. United are also on the lookout for a striker this summer after having sealed the deals with Wolves and Brentford, respectively.
Javi Guerra: Playing style and strengths
Ruben Amorim wants to go ahead with his 3-4-2-1 style at Old Trafford which makes the availability of a midfielder like Javi Guerra important. The youngster is a typical No. 8, but can also perform as a deep-lying holding midfielder.
The 6ft-2 Spaniard, known for his long-range shots with both legs, is agile with terrific ball control and dribbling skills. According to reports, he is one of the best in Europe when it comes to successful take-ons. Valencia reportedly makes most of his progressive drives as he averages multiple progressive runs per game and covers long distances on the pitch when asked to play a box-to-box role.
