Ajmer floods: Watch people, carts and vehicles swept away along Nala Bazaar street | VIDEOS

Multiple videos circulating on social media are showing people, vechicles and other belongings being swept away by rainwater gushing along Ajmer's Nala Bazaar on Friday night.
In one of the videos, a man is shown washed away along the street after he slipped near the Nizam Gate near Ajmer's Dargah area while locals struggle to get hold of him. He was finally rescued by the people working in nearby shops after he got hold of a hotel counter.
In another video, a few people were seen trying to pick up a motorbike washed away by the rainwater. A few devotees who came to the Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah could also be seen trying to get up after falling in the torrential water. Other videos showed carts, vehicles, pots and other belongings being washed away in the strong flow while people try to grab them.
A dilapidated house in Ajmer's Lakhan Kotdi collapsed on Saturday morning. However, the family had left the building after cracks appeared in the walls.
The rain has also left Ana Sagar Lake in Ajmer overflowing with locals trying to control the flow using sandbags.
Rajasthan witnessed heavy downpour over the past 24 hours, affecting cities like Ajmer, Bundi, Pushkar, Pali and Sawai Madhopur. Officials said the intense rain resulted in overflow from dams, leading to flooding of rivers and drains. The state has received 126 per cent rainfall more than normal since June 1 when the monsoon started.
