‘Mere Hero: Mere Maa Baap’ released in Rohtak

Academicians, Haryanvi artists, cultural and social activists, literary figures, writers, and media professionals came together to share their thoughts on the unspoken emotions of human life and the power of literature. They also reflected on the vital role parents play as guiding forces and their deep bond with children.

The occasion was a book release ceremony hosted by Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) at the seminar hall of the Vivekananda Library on Saturday. The event soon evolved into a thoughtful and emotional exchange as participants began expressing their views.

Prof Harish Kumar, Dean of Academic Affairs, MDU, graced the event as the chief guest and formally released two books: Me and My Unsaid Feelings by Krishan Lal and Mere Hero: Mere Maa Baap by Dr Shyam Lal Kaushal.

“These works strike an emotional chord with readers and offer a fresh perspective to society. Though focused on different themes, both books are deeply moving and thought-provoking,” said Kumar.

Krishan Lal’s Me and My Unsaid Feelings is a heartfelt expression of unspoken emotions and thoughts, encouraging readers to reflect on their inner feelings. Dr Shyam Lal Kaushal’s Mere Hero: Mere Maa Baap is a touching tribute to parents, underscoring their contributions and the emotional connection shared with them.

During his address, Kumar also referred to iconic literary works such as Maxim Gorky’s “Mother” and Munshi Premchand’s “Godan”, highlighting their continued relevance in portraying social realities. He also recited poems capturing various circumstances of life.

Dr Satish Malik, librarian at the MDU, presided over the ceremony, while deputy librarian Dr Seema conducted the proceedings.

Authors Dr Madhu Kant, Dr Ramakanta, Dr Mehalwar, and Kamal Paliwal, along with renowned Haryanvi artist Janardan Sharma and writer Brijbala Gupta, also shared their insights on the occasion.
