Kejriwal, MP Sanjay call on V-P ahead of monsoon session
AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Sunday met Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar at the latter’s official residence ahead of the monsoon session.
After the meeting, Dhankhar wrote on X, “Former Chief Minister of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, along with floor leader of AAP in the Rajya Sabha, Sanjay Singh, called on the Vice-President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, at the Vice-President’s Enclave today.”
Meanwhile, Kejriwal also posted on X after the meeting, saying, “Called on Vice-President of India to enquire about his health. I pray to God for his long and healthy life.”
The Monsoon Session of Parliament is scheduled to begin on Monday, and an all-party meet was also organised on Sunday, in which Sanjay Singh announced that the AAP would demand answers on the Pahalgam terror attack, the unexplained ceasefire that followed, and US President Donald Trump’s startling claims of brokering peace in exchange for a trade deal.
During a media interaction after the meeting, Singh said, “One of the main issues I flagged was the repeated claims made by the President of the United States that five fighter jets were shot down and a ceasefire was imposed in exchange for a trade deal. The Government of India must issue a clarification on these serious claims.”
