Uttar Pradesh: UPPSC Implements AI Surveillance, Biometric Checks For Review Officer Exam Across 75 Districts

To ensure a fair and secure environment for the upcoming Review  Review Officer examination-2023, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has introduced a multi layered monitoring and administration system. The examination is scheduled to take place in a single shift on July 27, across 2,382 centres in all 75 districts of the state, with more than 10.76 lakh candidates expected to appear.

A combination of technological and administrative measures has been adopted to safeguard the examination process. These include AI-powered alerts, CCTV monitoring, and social media tracking. District Magistrates will serve as nodal officers, supported by static magistrates, sector officers, and trained personnel at each centre.

To prevent paper leaks, question papers have been printed by two separate printers and will be selected randomly through a computerised system just 45 minutes before the examination. Each paper will come in eight different jumbled series and include unique barcodes. Secure
trunk boxes with tamper-proof packaging will be used to transport and store the question papers under live CCTV surveillance.

Candidate verification has been fully digitised through the One Time Registration (OTR) system. E-admit cards are linked to an eight point personal verification protocol. Entry to centres will require biometric authentication and facial recognition. Randomised centre allocation and invigilator assignments further enhance transparency.

Use of electronic devices is strictly prohibited, and a dedicated social media monitoring cell has been set up to detect and respond to any irregularities in real time.
