Saiyaara, a copy of this Korean Film? Viewers say, ‘from story to climax, it’s all same…’
Saiyaara, a film starring two newcomers, Ahaan Panday and Aneeta Padda, are making waves as their film has made a thunderous entry into Bollywood. The film has become a superhit purely on emotion and word-of-mouth.
Packed theatres, viral emotional reactions, and teary-eyed audiences prove the film’s impact is real. The story has touched people deeply, and social media is overflowing with posts from fans sharing how the film moved them to tears. The film has already grossed nearly Rs 100 crore in just three days.
Is Saiyaara a copy of a Korean classic?
As Saiyaara continues to trend, a section of the internet is calling it out for allegedly copying the 2004 South Korean film A Moment to Remember, directed by John H. Lee. The claims suggest that the plotlines, emotional beats, and even the ending are too similar to ignore.
One social media user wrote, “Saiyaara is a copy of a Korean film. Mohit Suri rarely makes original movies.” Another added, “So many scenes and the ending are almost the same in both films.”
A third commented, “Mohit Suri and his obsession with Korean films. Even Ek Villain was inspired by I Saw The Devil.”
Despite the growing discussion, director Mohit Suri has yet to respond to these allegations.
